Jean-Wainwright-1417516251Jean S. Wainwright 86, of Tuscumbia died Monday December 1, 2014 in Red Bay, AL. Visitation will be 6:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday December 3, 2014 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be 2:00pm Thursday Dec. 4, 2014 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Hawk Pride Church of Christ Cemetery. Kevin Dillion and David Conley will officiate.

Mrs. Wainwright was a native of Cherokee, AL. She was a member of Eastern Star Tuscumbia Chapter 164, AWO at Mars Hill Bible School, Heritage Women, and the Helen Keller Garden Club. She was a volunteer at Helen Keller Hospital and a member of Cox Boulevard Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mary Ruddell Thompson Sherrod and Irvin Hogue Sherrod and her husband Marshall Pennington.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa D. Moore (Oliver) and her sister Barbara S. Warhurst (Tommy); her two grandchildren Kayla Bevis (Justin) and Eric Moore; also her two great-grandchildren Braydon M. Bevis and Emzley W. Bevis.
Pallbearers will be Clint Blankenship, Eric Moore, Andy McAlister, Neil Morris, Kenneth J. Harrison, David Cornelius, Jonathan Crosslin and Terry Lenz.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Oliver L. Moore, Jr., Tommy Warhurst, Larry Sanderson, Jerry Pennington, and Helen Keller Volunteers.

The family expresses special thanks to Generations of Red Bay for their special care of Jean.
