Mildred Earlene Hammonds Stucky – Obituary

Mildred Earlene Hammonds Stucky went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. She was born on June 30, 1940 in Conecuh County, Alabama. She graduated from Evergreen High School in 1958. She was a long time resident of Huntsville, Alabama and an active member of Faith Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker and loved her family. She worked part time as a bookkeeper for Hikmat Antonios and later as a real estate agent with Averbuch Realty. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint and working in the yard and learned to play golf later in life in order to spend more time with her husband.

Earlene is survived by her husband of fifty years, Fred Sims Stucky, Jr.; their sons, Mark Ray Stucky (Linda Horning), Fred Sims Stucky III (Amy Titus) and James Robert Stucky (Amy Haugen); grandchildren, Anna Kathryn Stucky, David Ray Stucky, Lowrey Hammonds Stucky, Caroline Coleman Stucky, Robert Daniel Stucky, Margaret Manning Stucky, Sarah Victoria Stucky and Grace Sims Stucky; and siblings, Ruth Lynch, Laura Wilson, Wayne Hammonds and Sherry Sims. She was predeceased by her parents, Jesse and Edna Hammonds and brothers, James Robert Hammonds, Billy Hammonds and Benny Hammonds.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Faith Presbyterian Church on Friday, December 5 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts to Second Mile Development in Huntsville, Alabama or the Presbyterian Home for Children in Talladega, Alabama.
