Funeral service for Jo Ann Hogan, age 79, of Decatur, will be Thursday, November 20, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ken Bush officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Hogan, who died Monday, November 17, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born October 6, 1935, in Limestone County, to James Ellis McMeans and Roma Adeline Berzett McMeans. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Hogan, and one son, Terry Barley.
She is survived by one son, Hal Barley of Athens; one daughter, Cindy Smith (Gary) of Decatur; one brother, Danny McMeans of South Carolina; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Lewter, Logan Lewter, Britt Barley, Steve Brannon, Chris Smith, and Brandon Smith.
