Jimmy Noel Yarber – Obituary

2550-4308-JimmyYarberJimmy Noel Yarber, age 74, of Florence passed away at home November 16, 2014.  A native of Iuka, Mississippi, he graduated from Iuka High School in 1958 and then served in the Alabama National Guard.  He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 255 and was retired from Ford Motor Company.  A servant of his Lord, Jesus Christ, Jim was a faithful member of Oakland Church of Christ as well as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Mr. Yarber was preceded in death by his mother, Katie Morris Yarber Wright; stepfather, P.P. Wright Sr.; stepbrothers, Dewey Wright, Percy Wright Jr., and B.B. Wright; and stepsisters, Estelle Grissom, Agnes Grissom, and Mamie Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Whitten Yarber; son, Randy Yarber; stepchildren, Karen Williams (Mark), Cherion Killen (Russell), and Darren Roberson (Amanda); grandchildren, Shey Yarber, Shelby Yarber, Brianna Williams, Braeden Williams, Jamie Killen, Chelsea Killen, Hannah Killen McDaniel, Ethan Killen, Bryce Roberson, Brody Roberson, and Landri Roberson; and great-grandsons, Kaiden Killen and Beckett Killen.  He also leaves many loving relatives and friends, including special cousins Burnette Bryant and Dale Medley, who were like a brother and sister to him.

Pallbearers will be E.B. High, Clarence Palmer, Athel Rickard, Raymond Scott, Barry Whitten, Rodney Whitten, Kevin Gray, and Ethan Killen.  Honorary pallbearers will be Dwight Brown, Hoyt Hall, Herby Harrison, J.B. Harrison, Wesley “Skip” Hogue, Bobby Jones, and Eugene Morris.

Visitation will be 12:00pm to 2:00pm Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Greenview Funeral Home with the funeral service at 2:00pm.  Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
