Robert E Smith 88, of Ardmore,AL died Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at his home.
Born Monday, October 11, 1926 in Ardmore, AL, he was the son of the late Floyd W. Smith and the late Effie Hicklen Smith. He was a member of Ardmore First Baptist Church and was a US Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War. He has lived in the Ardmore area for the last 15 years, after living in Detroit, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Margaret Smith, and brothers: Cecil Smith and TC Smith, and sisters: Irene Hargroves and Mary Smith Fogg.
Surviving is a brother – Floyd “KO” & Gertie Smith of Ardmore, AL.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL, at 11:00 AM with Bro. Marshall Norman and Bro. Alan Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery, in Hornbeak, TN.
