Mickey “Monk” McNeese 55, of Elkmont,AL died Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Athens-Limestone Hospital, Athens, Alabama.
Born Friday, February 27, 1959 in Athens, AL, he was the son of Hester Posey McNeese the late Clifton McNeese.
He was a lifelong resident of Limestone County, He enjoyed fishing and working with cows and horses. He also enjoyed mechanic work and spending time with his dog Bud. He is preceded in death by his father, Clifton McNeese, brother, Michael Ray McNeese, and grandparents: Vernon and Clara McNeese, and Ulver and Lizzie Posey.
Survivors include: his mother: Hester Posey McNeese of Elkmont, AL, Brothers: Rickey McNeese, Elkmont, AL and Heath McNeese, Athens, AL, Sisters: Brenda Jackson, Elkmont, AL, Tammy Kennedy, Athens, AL, Tamarie Day, Decatur, AL, Tina McWilliams, Rogersville, AL, Sonya Proctor, Trinity, AL, and Loretta Brannon, Fort Stockton, TX, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL, at 2:00 PM with Bro. James Swindle officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
