May Dean Gray, 88, of Florence, passed away Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, at her residence. She was a member of Roger’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, from 10 a.m. noon at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at noon in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ralph Mann officiating. Burial will follow in Roger’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her husband, Macon E. Gray, parents, Buell Green and Ruby Liles Wilson, foster brother, Jesse Hines, and brothers-in-law, Jerry Watkins and Tommy Morgan.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Gray Erwin (Larry); sisters, Thelma Riley (James), Shirley Morgan, and Dimple Watkins, all of Florence; grandchildren, Shannon Erwin (Robin), of Huntsville, Mitzi Brooks (Matt), of Florence, and Dana Pierce (Brad), of Killen; great-grandchildren, Fiona Erwin, Sydney and William Brooks, and Bailee and Kyleigh Thompson.
Active pallbearers will be Shannon Erwin, Matt Brooks, Brad Pierce, Greg Watkins, Bryan Morgan, and James Riley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Wilson, John Roberson, Jeff Austin, Kevin Durham, and Mark Bramlett.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the caregivers, Rita Bramlett, Jennifer Moore, and Sondra Keeton.
