James “Jim” Grover Salter 72, of Toney ,AL died Monday, November 3, 2014 at his home.
Born Saturday, February 21, 1942 in Birmingham, AL, he was the son of the late Jack Salter and the late Margaret Elizabeth Salter. He has lived in the Toney area for the past four years, coming from Florida. He was a member of Ardmore United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: Son – Tommy (Debbie) Salter, Toney, AL, Daughters: Tammy (Westley) Higgins, Madison, AL, Chrissy (Bill) Griffin of Cullman, AL, Terry Butler, Toney, AL, Dianne (Louis) Falcon, Pass Christian, MS, Brother – Tom (Mary) Salter, Decatur, AL, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Debbie Eubanks officiating. There will be a private family burial following at Gatlin Cemetery.
