Curtis Ray Morton – Obituary

COL. Curtis Ray Morton, USA (RET.), 71, of Huntsville passed away Saturday at a local hospital. Mr. Morton was a retired Colonel with the U.S. Army. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and a Sunday School Teacher and was very active with the church. Survivors include his wife Nancy Morton; son: COL. Mike Morton and wife: Anita; daughter: Jennifer Matthews and husband: Kenneth; grandchildren: Laurel Matthews, Michael Matthews and Katie Morton; his parents: R.C. Morton and Minnie Lee Durant and 3 siblings: Anna Taylor, Vickie Ward and Duane Morton. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 9:30am until 11:00am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church (Gathering Space) with Reverend Mark Seanor and Reverend Billy Orton officiating. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faith Steps to The Future, c/o First Baptist Church, 600 Governors Drive 35810.
