Elvin Edward Lucas Jr., 60, died Sunday, October 5, 2014, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born January 15, 1954, in Vina, Alabama, to Elvin Howard and Rosa Holcomb Lucas Sr. After graduating from Vina High School, he joined the U.S Marines, where he served two tours in the Vietnam War. He was a construction worker. He was a musician, and especially loved playing the fretless bass.

Services will be at 11 a. m. Friday, October 10, at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery. McNeece- Morris Funeral Home in Fulton is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two sons, Josh Lucas (Heather), and Justin Lucas (Ashley), both of Mantachie; one daughter, Jennifer Wade (Myron) of Laurel; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Lucas; and his parents. Pallbearers will be Justin Lucas, Josh Lucas, Myron Wade, Don Fuller, James Davis, and Jerry Parker.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home.
