Mr. John Donald Prendergast, who was born September 20, 1916, in Minneapolis, MN, died Monday, October 6, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Memorial service and interment in Arlington National Cemetery will be held at a later date. Shelton Funeral Home, Inc. assisted the family locally.
Mr. Prendergast was retired from the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Theodore Prendergast and Bernice Newsum Prendergast.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Everitt) Prendergast of Palm Coast, FL; one daughter, Sue Hughes of Atlanta, GA; and one stepson, Tim Cunningham of Sheboygan, WI.
