Joyce Marie “Meemaw” Hargrove, 80, of Sheffield, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014. A graveside service will be Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Sheffield, with Rodney Shewbert officiating.
Mrs. Hargrove was a native of Colbert County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Hargrove, who died 45 years ago but is now reunited for eternity with the Lord; grandson, Russ Hargrove; and brothers, Lee, Elroy and Gene Cabaniss.
Survivors include her children, Teresa Carr (Chris), Donna Parkes (Kelly), Steve Hargrove (Lori), Kathy Poag and Pam Moore (Marty); special family member, Ronnie Hargrove; brother, J.C. Cabaniss; sister, Barbara Stratton; grandchildren, Hunter, Alana, Kimberly, Hannah, Tyler and Makenzie; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Jase Hunter, Eli, Macy, Rhett, Jaxon, Aidan and Adlee.
The family of Mrs. Hargrove expresses special thanks to the employees and staff of Cottage of the Shoals, Helen Keller Hospital and Dr. Rose.
