Funeral service for James Lucian Terry, age 86, of Trinity, will be Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Sawyer officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Interment will be in Caddo Cemetery.
Mr. Terry, who died Saturday, September 13, 2014, at his residence was born March 18, 1928, in Lawrence County to Obie and Rhodia McDougle Terry. Mr. Terry was a retired Singer Sewing Machine salesman and was a Korean War veteran. He attended Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary Terry and his parents.
Survivors include his son, Jimmy O. Terry (Rheta) of Trinity; two granddaughters, Renita D. Terry and Myra L. Terry both of Trinity; three great-granddaughters, Ana and Mari Alvarado and Shelly Terry of Trinity.
Pallbearers will be Festus Grissom, Greg Randolph, James Wilson, Lanier Sherrill, Thomas Whitehead and Tim Ricketts.
