Mary Lorene Mitchell Moss, 94, of Tuscumbia, passed away Sept. 4, 2014.
Visitation will be Sunday Sept. 7 from noon-2 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. in the chapel with burial to follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Officiating is Thad Looser.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Minus and Anna Belle Mitchell, daughter, Martha Hunter Christian, and brother, Bill Mitchell.
Survivors include her husband, Sidney Wade Moss;
son, Bill Moss (Nelda), of Phil Campbell;
sister, Maude Andrews, of Muscle Shoals;
grandchildren, Vicki Hunter Looser (Chuck), of Muscle Shoals, Dr. Steve Hunter (Fran) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Bart Moss (Amy), of Russellville, Wendy Rushing (Kyle), of Haleyville, and Theresa Garrard (Jon), of Muscle Shoals;
great-grandchildren, Thad (Betsy) and Rece (Melanie) Looser, Stephanye and Emma and Will Hunter, Mallory and Lilly Rae Rushing, Hayden and Ragan Moss, and Jackson and Luke Garrard;
great-great-grandchildren, Will Looser, Mary Kate Looser, and one on the way, Nora Elizabeth Looser, due in October.
Pallbearers will be Steve Hunter, Chuck and Rece Looser, Bart Moss, Kyle Rushing, Jon Garrard, and Will Hunter.
Mrs. Moss was a member of Tuscumbia Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Ministry at Tuscumbia Church of Christ.
