Funeral services for Mr. Kenny Bowman, age 73, are scheduled for 2 pm, Saturday, August 30, 2014 at New Beech Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Harold Hopper and Bro. Johnny Owens officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bowman passed away early Wednesday in Lexington. He was born July 21, 1941 in Henderson County to the late J. L. and Louise Lindsey Bowman. He was retired from Henderson County CO-OP, a member of New Beech Grove Baptist Church, and enjoyed farming, gardening, racing, and the outdoors. He loved his grandchildren dearly. Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by one daughter, Charlotte Hopper and two brothers, David and Bill Bowman. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mrs. Carolyn Smith Bowman; his son, Kenny Bowman Jr. (Lisa); two daughters, Nancy Arnold and Ginger Taylor; two brothers, Ronnie and Charlie Bowman; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
