Eddie Gene Stevenson, 62, of Town Creek, died Aug. 2, 2014. His funeral will be Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at 1 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Bryce Lipscomb officiating and Jackson Memory Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Landersville Cemetery. He will be placed in the church one hour prior to the funeral.
Mr. Stevenson was born Aug. 6, 1951, in Town Creek, Alabama to the late Willie and Eva Stevenson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Thomas, Willie James, Melvin, and Wallace Ozell Stevenson, and one sister, Gracie Mae Brown.
He is survived by three children, Eddie (Daisha) Whiteside, of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Andrea (Antonio) Abernathy, of Sheffield, Alabama, and Doynesa (Tryrome) Bynum, of Decatur, Alabama; one sister, Jeanette Penchion, of Cleveland, Ohio; sister-in-law, Glenda Stevenson, of Decatur; one brother, Collis (Betty) Stevenson, of Courtland, Alabama; and two devoted nephews, Gary and Wince Brown.
