Beatrice Irene Stewart, 87, of Tuscumbia, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Her visitation will be Wednesday, July 23rd, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will be Thursday, July 24th, at 11:00 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia with Ed White officiating. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Stewart was a native of Lawrence County, but was a resident of Tuscumbia most of her life. She was a member of Valdosta Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Calvin Stewart, Jr.; parents, Grover and Gertrude Simmons; sisters, Zelmaline Green, Lorene Simmons, and Pauline Crittenden.
She is survived by her sons, Glenn Stewart (Hazel) and John Stewart (Carole); brother-in-law, Bob Green; grandchildren, Rodney Stewart (Yvonne), Stacie Clifton (Mitch), and Mandy Dickerscheid (Jay); great grandchildren, Chase Stewart, Nathan Stewart, Carley Clifton, and Emma Clifton; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Nunley, Matt Crosswhite, Adam Crosswhite, Matt Johnson, Chuck Evans, Mike Longcrier, Robert Midget, and Roger Chote.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jay Bulman and Leo Roden.
