Jo Ann Beck Wistrand, 70, of Tuscumbia, died Monday, July 21, 2014. Her visitation will be Wednesday, July 23rd, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will be Thursday, July 24th, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Shoals Catholic Church with Father Don Forsythe officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mrs. Wistrand was a member of Our Lady of the Shoals Catholic Church. She was a graduate of St. Vincent’s School of Nursing and was a registered nurse for 45 years in the Shoals. She was a member of Service League. She received a Red Cross pin for voluntary service to the community. She was president of the Lady Knights of Columbus and was decorator for the group.
She was survived by her husband Richard E. Wistrand; son John Beck (Karin) Madison, AL; daughter Leigh Ann Beck Roberts (Brian) Tuscumbia ; step-son Eric Wistrand San Mateo, CA; step-daughter Kerry Faur Helena, Montana; sister Bobbie Lou Leigh Sheffield, AL; seven grandchildren: Mackenzie Roberts, Maddie Roberts, Drew Beck, Josh Beck, A.J. Faur, Kasey Faur, and Jake Wistrand.
Pallbearers will be Tim Benefield, Lawrence Huffman, Henry Long, Clay Bendall, Greg Hildreth, Wayne Chaney, and Adam Rue.
