Betty Jean Mitchell, 78, Russellville, Alabama, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, at her residence.
She lived all of her life in Franklin County and was a member of Bethsaida Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 22, 2014, 2 p.m. at Bethsaida Missionary Baptist Church with Tony Gasaway officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. at the church.
Survivors include children, Myra Alsbrooks Carpenter, Charles Jeffery Alsbrooks, both of Russellville; grandchildren, Marquita Seay, Katrina Borden; five, great-grandchildren; one, great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Elmer Mitchell; parents, Emmit and Pearl Smith Saint; son, Benny Alsbrooks.
Pinkard Funeral Home Russellville will be directing.
