James Robert Finley, 62 of Florida died on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at William Childs Hospice House from complications from lung cancer.
Born Thursday, June 14,1951 in Huntsville, Alabama, he was the son of the late James Finley and the late Ella Mae Finley.
He was a Veteran of Vietnam with the U.S. Navy retiring as Chief Machinist Mate, and retired Electrical Operator from TVA. He was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge F&AM, Scottish Rite, Order of the Eastern Star, Order of the Amaranth, White Shrine of Jerusalem and the American Legion.
Jim is survived by his wife, Barbara Finley of FL, 3 step-children, 9 grandchildren all of OH, and brother, Dudley”Junior” Gray Jr. of TN.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Linda Bryant.
Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM on Sunday June 8, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roger Cothren officiating. Burial will be June 9, 2014, in New Grove Cemetery, Ardmore, TN.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, 27186 Main Street, Ardmore, Alabama.
The family requests donations may be made to the Order of the Eastern Star, Cancer Research Fund, the Order of the Amaranth, Diabetes Research Fund or Kelly Creek Baptist Church
