Eddie H. Pounders, age 59 of Sheffield, departed this life June 6, 2014 at Helen Keller Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Louella Pounders and brother, Billy R. Pounders. Visitation will be Sunday 6-9 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Donald Davis officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
He was retired from McKinney Lumber Co and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Velma Rose Pounders, sisters, Joann Thomas, Helen Wilson, a number of nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Jay, Bryan, Andy, Larry, Andrew, Jamie, Tyler, William, Aaliyah Marie, Judy, and Kaylee.
Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.
