Funeral service for Jennifer Duran Burks age 40 of Hartselle will be Monday, June 9, 2014 at 1:00pm at West Hartselle Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Redfearn officiating with burial in the Burningtree Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Burks, who died on Friday, June 6, 2014 in Priceville, was born on December 14, 1973 in Decatur, Alabama to Melvin Duran Jr. and Linda Faye Pankey Duran. She was a member of West Hartselle Baptist Church and was a 6th grade English teacher at the Hartselle Intermediate School. She was preceded in death by her mother.
She is survived by her husband; Kevin Burks, one son, Connor Burks and a daughter; Hannah Burks, all of Hartselle, her father; Melvin Duran, a brother; Melvin Duran III and a sister; Karen Duran Winchester, all of Priceville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Jason Burks, Melvin Duran III, Keith Wright, David Wood, Geoffrey Hudgins and Wayne Pankey will serve as pallbearers.
