norman-jones-obituaryNorman F. Jones, 82, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 2, 2014. Norman was born in Parker, SD. He lived most of his years in Escondido, CA where he worked in construction and at the San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Lev and Irene Jones; his sister Margaret Cunningham; and his brother Dwayne Jones. He is survived by his brothers Raymun and Harold Jones; his sister Irma Armagno (Tony); his son, Larry Smith (Susan) of Escondido, CA; his daughter Melinda Minnick (John) of Salem, OR; his daughter Nancy Johnson of Meadow Vista, CA; his daughter Michelle Rahn (Martin) of Mountain View, CA; his son Jonathan Jones (Kristen) of Huntsville, AL; his foster daughter Julia Hope of Escondido, CA; his step-daughter Sharleen Joy; his step-sons Daniel Fluke (Linda) and Michael Fluke (Michelle); 4 granddaughters, Katrina Hope, Jennifer Rahn, and Holly and Laura Johnson; 8 grandsons, Christopher Hope, Ethan Hope, Eric Rahn, Christopher, Andrew and Ben Minnick, Canaan Jones, Jonah Jones; 2 great-granddaughters, Luxe and Journey Brightwell; and other loving family members. A memorial service will be held at 10AM Saturday, June 28 at the Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home in Parker, SD (605) 297-4402 with burial to follow at St. Christina’s Cemetery also in Parker.
