Mrs. Orlean Dunlap Summerford, age 94 of Hartselle died Saturday May 31, 2014. Her funeral service will be Tuesday June 3, 2014 at 2:00pm at First Methodist Church of Hartselle with Rev. Harold Thompson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday June 2, 2014 form 6-8pm at Peck Funeral Home.
She was born October 2, 1919 in Morgan County Al. to William Dolphus Dunlap and Dicie Jane Taylor Dunlap.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her devoted husband of 62 years Ralph Tanner Summerford, an infant daughter Elle Dean Summerford, 2 Brothers OB and Austin Dunlap, 3 sisters-Mamie Strickland, Willie B Frost and Essie Holmes.
She is survived by 2 daughters- Linda Russell (Ray) of Hartselle
Charlotte Speake (Bob) of Hartselle.
3 Grandchildren- Stacy Westbrook (Paul), David Speake and Lisa MacBeth, M.D. (Ron Alyn).
2 Great Grandchildren- Sarah and Will Westbrook.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Pallbearers will be- Bob Speake, David Speake, Ray Russell, Paul Westbrooke, Ron Alyn MacBeth, D.M.D. and Jack Summerford.
