Funeral service for Esmer Lee “Banks” Anders, 80, will be today at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Bailey officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in McKendree Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Anders died on Friday, May 16, 2014, at his residence. He was born December 27, 1933, in Morgan County to Hillard L. Anders and Mattie MaryLee Curtis Anders. He was formerly employed as a self employed mechanic. He greatly loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Anders was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Esmer Lee Anders Jr.; a brother, John Nathan Anders; and a sister, Olivia Anders Parker.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Anders;
three daughters, Tamie Anders Prater, Olivia Anders Miller and
Paula Kay Anders Guthrie; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Drew Prater, Spenser Miller, Josh Guthrie, Seth Miller, Daniel Guthrie, and Titus Miller.
