Joe Gregory Covey age 58, of Florence, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014. Visitation will be Sunday, May 18th, from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Spry~Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will be Monday, May19th at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Brother Bo Baker officiating. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Larry Boyd, Tim Traglia, Drew Womble, Les Wilkinson, Vernon Covey, and Billy Montgomery. Honorary pallbearers are Pamela Davis, Beverly Boyd, and Kara McLain. He was retired with Monarch Tile Company and was of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors are his wife, Teresa Price Covey; daughter, Amanda Palmer (Trey); sister, Nancy Covey Collins; brothers, Thomas C. Covey, Floyd Covey, and Vernon Covey; grandchildren, Alex Alvarado, Jessa Palmer, and Rilee Palmer; father and mother-in-law, James and Ruth Price; aunt, LouDean Zills; cousin, Darryl Zills and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Dr. Lyman Mitchell, Dr. Therese Lango, Dr. A.E. Joiner and Amedysis for their care.
