John Huston “Johnny” Clemmons Jr., 69, of Muscle Shoals, passed away May 15, 2014, at his residence. He was a member of Killen Baptist Church, United Steel Workers Local #200, retired from Reynolds after 19 years of loyal service and was a sales manager at Mutual Savings Insurance for 18 years.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 4 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2014, in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Brother Wayne Gean officiating. Burial will follow in Sherrod Valley Cemetery.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father, John Houston Clemmons Sr.; and brother, Larry James Clemmons.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Hamm Clemmons; mother, Mae Belle Clemmons; daughter, Anita Reaves (Leslie); step-children, Kim Harrison, Angie Bange (Michael), and Ken Harrison; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Joy Howard (David); and niece, Robyn Howard.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Hill, Brandon Fisher, Terry Carpenter, Hobie Butler, Chris Bevis, Danny Thigpen, Billy Hamm and Percy Miller.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Hospice of the Shoals and Billy and Jane Hamm for the love and care given to Johnny.
