James Halelani Williams, 74, of Pine Grove, California, passed away May 5, 2014, in Sutter Amador Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on June 13, 1939, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He attended St. Louis High School and Laie College. He joined the Army and served at Schofield Barracks.
As an adult his favorite pastimes were golfing and fishing, but his passion was gardening. He was retired co-owner of R and W Bumper Company in Florence, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Manalo Williams, and late wife, Patricia Beam Williams.
He is survived by wife, Pat, Pine Grove, Calif.; father, James K. Williams; Honolulu, Hawaii; daughter, Tracy Ashley and husband, Tommy; stepchildren, David, Sherri, and Karen; grandsons Zachary and Tyler Ashley; sisters, Mary Ann Medeiros and Barbara Metzker, Honolulu, Hawaii; and numerous nephews and nieces.
A celebration of his life will be held at Kahana Bay overlooking the beautiful Koolau Mountains in Hawaii.
