Rosemary Rich Burleson, 63, raised in Cherokee, AL- residing the last 5 years with her sister in Florence, AL- died on May 3, 2014 after extended illness.
She had various jobs over the years but her favorite was full-time mother and grandmother. She enjoyed working with wood and painting. Also cooking and sewing. She was a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her father, Charles Rich, her mother, Mary Grey; and three brothers, Billy Rich, Gary Rich and Marshall Rich.
She is survived by her daughters, Marsha Allen (Nathan) and Kelly Mayfield, two sisters, Sherry Irons (Charles) and Michelle Rutland, eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 12-2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Chuck Canterbury officiating. Burial will be in Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Mason, Keith Rich, Eric Irons, Cary Rich, Leslie Irons and Judd Rich.
Special thanks to her brother-in-law, Charles Irons, for all cooking and special care he showed Rosemary during the last several years of her illness.
