Alta Louise Hamby, age 81, Haleyville, AL. passed away Friday April 18, 2014. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in the Dime Community.
Her visitation will be on Monday April 21, 2014 at Pinkard Funeral Home-Haleyville from 6:00-9:00PM , with her funeral at 2:00PM Tuesday in the chapel, burial to follow at Bethel Cemetery in the Dime Community.
She is survived by her children, Janice Trapp, Ann Hester, Teresa Cole, Regina Shackleford and Wayne Hamby; brother, Mitchell Taylor; 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stonewall and Vista Taylor; husband, Lee Arlie Hamby; sons,Tony Lee Hamby and Paul Terry Hamby; brother, Theron Taylor; sisters, Imogene Taylor and Willodene Hudson.
