Flossie Louise Pace – Obituary

flossieFlossie Louise Pace, age 94, of Tuscumbia, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014.

Her family will receive friends Thursday, 12-2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Barrett Long officiating. Burial will be in in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.

 

Mrs. Pace was born in Franklin County, but lived most of her life in Colbert County and resided in Tuscumbia since 1956. She graduated from Colbert County High School in Leighton and attended Larimore Business College in Florence. She was a Federal retiree with Social Security Administration and Farmers Home Administration, a member of First Baptist Church of Tuscumbia since 1959, a former Sunday school teacher for many years and choir member.   She was preceded in death by her parents; Lonnie and Mary Ellen Isbell, her husband Luther Pace of sixty one years and brother, Reedious Isbell and daughter-in-law, Pat Pace.

 

Survivors include her son, Ronald Gene Pace and wife Betty of Muscle Shoals; grandsons, Terry Pace and wife Anita of Sheffield, Cass Pace of Leighton; great grandchildren, Forrest Pace and Alexandra Pace of Sheffield; brother, Hollis Isbell and wife Mittie of Muscle Shoals.

 

Pallbearers are Harlon King, Cass Pace, Gene Pace, Darrell Pace, Neal Isbell and Richard Isbell.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. John Mims, Shey Underwood, Bob Pace, Gene Pickens, Ford Pace and Copeland Pace.

 

Mrs. Pace’s family would like to especially thank, Edith Warren for her years of care and support.

 

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Tuscumbia, 203 N. Dickson, Tuscumbia, AL 35674.
