Funeral services for Mr. Bobby L. Powers, age 79, are scheduled for 2PM on Tuesday April 8, 2014 in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. PJ Hardy and Bro. Larry Waymer officiating. Burial will follow in Dyers Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Bobby passed away Saturday April 5, 2014 in Jackson, TN. He was born on March 18, 1935 in Henderson County, TN to the late Dewey and Vergie Catherine Millner Powers. He was a retired operations manager fro ITT Grinnell. Mr. Powers was a member of Dyers Chapel Church of Christ, a member of the #798 Pipe Liners Union, and from 1963-1968 worked with Arnolds Engineering Air Force Base in Tullahoma, TN. Mr. Powers was preceded in death by a son, Morris Randall Powers and a sister, Mrs. Marie Duke. Survivors include his wife of 64 years Mrs. Betty Jo Stanfill Powers, son, Mickey Powers (Bonnie), daughter Wanda (Thomas) Doyle, four brothers, Howard Powers (Mazie), Floyd Powers (Rose Mary), Hugh Powers (Tammie), Thomas Powers (late wife Patsy), sister, Jeanette (JW) Rhodes, 5 grandchildren; Jennifer (Richard) Rogers, Bethany (Casey) Jowers, Tracy (Misty) Bailey, Jonathan Bailey, Jennifer (Clint) Myracle, and 5 great grandchildren; Alli Jowers, Addison Rogers, Connor Jowers, Tristan and Hayden Bailey.
