Audrey V. Thorn Cantrell, 93, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014. She was born February 27, 1921 to the late David Riley Thorn and the late Marcella Lucy Smith Thorn. She retired from Abbott Laboratories after 10 years of service. She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, making pottery, playing the guitar and piano. She loved spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her Daughter, Janette “Jan” (John) Dyer of Tremont, Son, Larry Q (Nina) Cantrell of Columbus, MS, Granddaughters: Lori (Craig) Anderson of Baton Rouge, Vonda Placencia of Newton, IL, Katie (Michael) Case of Brandon, Grandsons: Steven (Stephanie) Dyer of Pontotoc, Luke (Amanda) Cantrell of Byhalia, Great-granddaughters: Morgan Anderson, Madison Dyer, Kearstin Cantrell, Kate Cantrell, Audrie Case, Great-grandsons: Wesley Anderson, Ethan Dyer, Preston Cantrell, Sam Cantrell, and a Host of Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Q V Cantrell, Son, Jimmie R. Cantrell, Father, David Riley Thorn, Mother, Marcella Lucy Thorn, Brothers: Elmer Thorn, Fred Thorn, Sinurd Thorn, Sisters: Ruby Stevens, Edna Thorn, Reba Thorn.
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Stevens, Jim Pate, Luke Cantrell, Steven Dyer, Mike Thorn, Michael Case.
