Smith “Smitty” Betts Wilcox passed away early Sunday, March 23rd, 2014.
Mr. Wilcox served in the U.S. Air Force and had a career in aerospace engineering with Douglas Aircraft, McDonell Douglas, Boeing, Xon Tech, Northrup Grumman, and Davidson Technologies.
He is preceded in death by his father Charles Wilcox and mother Helen Wilcox. He is survived by wife, Jackalyn Wilcox; his sisters, Patricia Scholtz and Peggy Gillard; his brothers, William Wilcox and Leigh Wilcox; his son, Daniel Wilcox; and stepsons, Charles Orchard and Gregory Orchard.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church with Father Michael Mac Mahon officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to John Paul II Catholic High School in Huntsville, AL.
