Larry Don Gibbons of Nauvoo, Alabama passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born on February 2, 1945, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and was 69 years old.
Mr. Gibbons, a retired chemist at Monsanto in Decatur, he loved animals, carving wood sculptures and collecting arrow heads.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 24, 2014, from noon until 2 p.m. at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.
A graveside service will follow visitation on Monday, at 2:30 p.m. in Giles Memory Gardens with Dr. Doug Ripley officiating.

He was preceded in death by his parents,
Charles Mason and Lavaughn Drucilla Phillips Gibbons and a brother, Mike Gibbons.
He is survived by his
son, Larry Don Gibbons Jr. and wife Kandy of Alabama, son, Charles Gibbons and wife Tisa of Alabama; sisters, Jennie Gibbons of Alabama,
Suzanne Tobe of Ohio,
Sherry Johnston and husband Richard of Pulaski, Karen Gibbons of Pulaski; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
