Mr. Larry Ross Shackelford, age 54, formerly of Lamar County, Alabama, passed away Monday, March 10th, 2014.
Visitation, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m., Monday, March 17th, 2014, at the Otts Funeral Home in Sulligent, Alabama. Funeral service, 3:30 p.m., Monday, March 17th, 2014 at the funeral home chapel. Burial in Sizemore Cemetery. Bro. Mitch Nethery officiating. Pallbearers, Michael Fowler, Austin Vinson, Michael Shrader, Tanner Hamilton and Tim Shrader.
Mr. Shackelford was born September 22nd, 1959, in Lamar County, Alabama, to the late Marvin Ross and Alma Faye Motes Shackelford. He attended Sulligent High School and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Swope Shackelford, Northport, AL.; 1 son, Danny Ray Ross Shackelford, Red Bay, AL.; 1 granddaughter, Brooklyn Shackelford; ; and numerous other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Alma Faye Motes Shackelford; 1 sister, Dorothy Faye Shackelford; grandparents, Newman and Ramie Motes.
