Don Ray Thomas, Sr., 73, of Harvest passed away Friday at his residence. Don was a native and lifelong resident of Madison County. He was a member of the Teamsters Retiree’s Club of Muscle Shoals. Don was preceded in death by his parents: John L. and Estelle Thomas and two brothers: Wheeler Thomas and Sherril Thomas. Survivors include his wife of 53 years: Betty Thomas; two sons: Don and wife: Kenethia Thomas, Jr. and Steve and wife: Jennifer Thomas; two grandsons: Joshua Thomas and Adam Thomas and his wife-to- be: Paige Holder; one granddaughter: Stephanie Thomas; one brother: Bruce and wife: Gylnda Thomas and one sister: Linda and husband: Bill Lewis. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by a Chapel service Monday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Hovis officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to one’s favorite charity.
