Nora Dianna Peden, age 67, of Leighton, died Thursday, February 20, 2014. Her family will receive friends Saturday, 11-12 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia with her funeral service following in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Mary McCrite and Bro. Charlie James officiating and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Mrs. Peden was a Lauderdale County native and a member of Sheffield United Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her son; Donald H. Peden; parents, Theodore and Nora Harrison; sisters, Doris Burgess, June Pickens and Drina Anderson, and brother, Thomas Gene Herston.
She is survived by her husband of thirty three years, Robert H. Peden; daughters, Farrah Peden, Kaye Roland, Glenda Cole and Robbin Bratcher; brother, Roland Herston “Bo” Brewer; sisters, Imogene Boatwright, Nancy Hill and Doris Hendrix; grandchildren, Jeremy Jones, Doug Jones, Melissa Owen, Laura King and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Bryan Burgess, Erin Burgess, Jeremy Jones, Eric Keith Nichols Sr., Eric Keith Nichols Jr., Doug Jones, Chad Hodge and Randall Owens.
Mrs. Peden’s family expresses special thanks to all the ladies of the Colbert County Health Department.
