Dieter Jurgen Schrader, 76, passed away Tuesday. Mr. Schrader is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sonja Jack Schrader; daughters, Aunia Jones Schrader and Andrea Coffin (George); and their sons, Taylor and Jared; and brother-in-law, Gary Jack, all of Huntsville. He was preceded in death by his son, Vaun Dieter Schrader and his mother, Charlotte Jones Mrazek.
Mr. Schrader was born in Berlin, Germany. He came to America as a child, with his mother and the Von Braun Rocket Team. In 1961, he graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Structural Building Engineering. He then worked for M. H. Eby Construction Company in Wichita, Kansas on the Titan II Missile Bases. In 1963, he returned to Huntsville to work for Thiokol Chemical Corporation. In 1969, Mr. Schrader went on to graduate from Cumberland School of Law. He practiced law for over 20 years. He was involved with the Schrader Family Restaurant businesses since 1962.
There will be a farewell celebration at Café Berlin, Monday, February 17th from 2 p.m. on. We welcome all friends, family and acquaintances who wish to attend.
