Clinton G. “Clint” Christian, 89, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born December 3, 1924 to the late Otis and Nellie Hobbs Christian in Smithville, and later moved to the Van Buren community during his child hood. He was Veteran of the US Army where served as Military Police during WWII in the Philippines. He was the owner/operator of the Fulton Shoe Shop for many years before his retirement. He was a member and Deacon Emeritus at Trinity Baptist Church and was very active in the church while his health allowed and he was also a 32nd Degree Mason in the Fulton Lodge, where he was active for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Christian of Fulton, Daughter, Linda Christian of Fulton, Son, Dennis Christian of Batesville, MS, 1 Granddaughter, Leigh McConnell of Mobile, AL, 2 Great Grandsons, Gavin and Aiden McConnell, both of Mobile, AL.
He was preceded in death by a son, Donny Christian, Parents, Otis and Nellie Christian, Sister, Molene Lann.
