Evelyn Mildred Anzelone, 79, of Hartselle, AL, passed away on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 at Decatur Morgan Hospital, where she spent the last few weeks of her life battling respiratory issues. Born Evelyn Mildred Boyer on July 1, 1934 in Womelsdorf, PA, she grew up at the Bethany Children’s Home. She eventually attended Nursing school and was awarded a Nursing Degree. She worked at several medical institutions and eventually retired from the University of Alabama Birmingham’s- Kirklin clinic. Evelyn was a talented piano & organ player and a very dedicated church member at several churches in the Birmingham area. Later she regularly attended East Highland Baptist Church in Hartselle, AL. She has a large extended family and a great void has been created in the lives of her family.
II Timothy 4:6-8
“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight,
I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
Evelyn is survived by three sisters and a brother, all out of state; Her three children;
Robert Parker(Gail)-McCalla, Brenda Channell(Rick)-Lincoln, Belinda Logan(Tony)-Hartselle; Six grandchildren; Phillip Parker(Becky), Brandon Stearns(Kat), Adam Logan, Brianna Logan, Heath Channell(Michelle), Chris Channell; and five great-grandchildren: Blakely, Kendall & Karrington Channell; Autumn & Kaelyn Stearns.
The funeral service will be conducted by Peck Funeral Home-Hartselle and is as follows:
Monday, Feb. 3 – Viewing from 2 to 3 pm followed by the funeral service at 3 pm. at East Highland Baptist Church in Hartselle, AL. The GPS address is:
