TUSCUMBIA-The recently reopened Alabama Music Hall of Fame will host an introduction to the 2014 Class of Inductees to the Hall of Fame Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 1pm.

Dick Cooper
Dick Cooper, curator at the museum, will present a multimedia presentation on the careers and accomplishments of these exceptional industry professionals.
“One of the delightful aspects of my job is being able to delve deeply into the careers of exceptional people like we have in this year’s inductee class, and then be able to tell their stories,” Cooper said.
“It is especially enjoyable when it includes long time friends like Spooner Oldham and Dan Penn, artists like Candi Staton and Hank Locklin and unique individuals such as Charlie Monk and Sun Ra,” he added.

Dixie Connell
“We encourage music lovers to attend the presentation. You will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of these creative talents and their impact on the development of Alabama music,” said Museum Manager Dixie Connell.
“We are delighted to be a part of this time in Alabama music history to celebrate the achievements of the 2014 Inductee Class of the Alabama Music Hall of Fame,” Connell said.
Admission for the presentation will be $5 and will include a tour of the museum. The Alabama Music Hall of Fame is located at Highway 72 West, Tuscumbia, Alabama.
