Funeral services for Laura Head Ledbetter, 101, of Oxford will be Monday, January 27, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford. Burial will be in Eulaton Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the service. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ledbetter passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital in Decatur. She was born on April 3, 1912, in Northport, Alabama, to Nathaniel and Julia Head. She graduated from Oxford High School and worked for First National Bank in Anniston until she retired to care for a number of family members. Her greatest joy in life was in serving her family and her church, First Baptist Church of Oxford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hugh Ledbetter.
Survivors include one son, Robert Hugh Ledbetter Jr. and daughter-in-law, Anne. Other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
