Ruby Knight Garrett, born June 3, 1927, died Jan. 25, 2014, at the age of 86. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Burtis Ray officiating. Burial will be at New Bethel Cemetery.
Mrs. Garrett lived in Rogersville, Ala., and was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Rogersville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest P. Garrett, and daughter, Anna Garrett Masa.
She is survived by her son, Robert and his wife, Janis; seven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Malcolm Johnson, Arkie Smith, Randy Lee, Lawrence “Duck” Grissom, Scott, Travis and Kevin Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Rogersville, 222 College Street, Rogersville, AL 35652.
