Peggy Adams Nye age 77 of Athens, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 in Athens. Mrs. Nye was born January 8, 1937 in Limestone County, AL to Pryce Wood Adams and Florence Hogan Adams.
Services will be Thursday, January 16, 2014 12:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Donald Terry officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Reunion Cemetery.
Mrs. Nye was a follower of Jesus Christ, and was a beloved compassionate nurse of 38 years.
Survived by her husband, Howard Nye of Athens; son, Woody Nye and wife Cindy Kinney of Athens; three grandchildren, April Prater and husband, John, Bethany Nye and fiancé’ Clay Reed and Cameron Nye and fiancé’ Manda Archey all of Athens; three great-grandchildren, Camdyn Prater, Presley Prater and Atticius Pryce Nye.
Pallbearers will be Paul Nye, John Prater, Clay Reed, Bob Doehrman, Klint “Tito” Kali and Irven Skinner.
