David George “Yank” Frasemer, Sr., age 74, of Tuscumbia, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014.
Visitation will be Thursday, 6-8 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia.
His funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of the Shoals Catholic Church with Father Don Forsythe officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Frasemer was a native of Chicago, Ill. and a member of Our Lady of the Shoals Catholic Church. He was a retired mechanic from the city of Tuscumbia, an Army veteran, served in the Coast Guard, and a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Delores Ann Frasemer, of Tuscumbia; sons, David G. Frasemer Jr. and Coree D. Frasemer; daughters, Susan Wood and Elizabeth Falk; stepsons, James Rincon, Mark Lehner, Virgil Lehner and Timothy Hardy; stepdaughters, Starr Geary, Sheri Avery, and Susie Holt; and three grandchildren.
