Kenneth Wayne Traffanstedt, 73, of Killen, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014. His family received friends for visitation Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Colbert Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be today at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Steve Bacon officiating. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 503 for over 50 years. He also served in the United States Navy. Kenneth retired from Ford Motor Co. after thirty-three and a half years of loyal service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Myrtle Traffanstedt; and brother, Wendell Traffanstedt.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Martin Traffanstedt; son, Vance Traffanstedt (Darlene); daughters, Dianna Ingrum (Jeff), Juanita Taylor (Bobby), and Jean Bacon (Kevin); grandchildren, Cameron Ingrum, Tyson Taylor, Haley Ingrum, Ken Taylor, Drew Traffanstedt, Jake Traffanstedt, Addison Bacon, and Ben Traffanstedt; sister, Sue Thompson (Gordon); and a host of loving nieces, nephews and other family members who will miss Kenneth dearly.

Pallbearers will be Cameron Ingrum, Tyson Taylor, Ken Taylor, Drew Traffanstedt, Chuck Harrison, Josh O’Kelley, Dennis Hice, Brian Inman, and Jerry Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jake Traffanstedt, Ben Traffanstedt, and Billy Brown.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice .
