Dorothy Lisenby of Ozark, Alabama, passed away November 17th at her daughter’s home in Avon, Indiana. She was 93. She had been a resident of Summerford Nursing home for the past five years. Dorothy was a telephone operator in Ozark and in Clearwater, Florida, until she retired.
She loved gardening and had a passion for flowers. She was a blessing to her family and all who knew her.
She is survived by two daughters, Alethea Flanagin (Pat Flanagin, son-in-law), Avon, Indiana, and Diana Moran (William Moran, son-in-law), Dunedin, Florida. Three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lisenby; one son, Michael Lisenby; and one granddaughter, Shannon Lisenby.
A memorial service will be held at her daughter’s home in Avon, Indiana, on November 29th. Interment service to be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Ozark where she was a member, at a date to be announced. Donations to Gentiva Hospice Foundation (972-373- 3824) are appreciated.
