Harold Wayne Malone, age 65, of Tuscumbia, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2013.Visitation will be Thursday, 6-8 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Friday, 10 a.m., in the funeral home chapel with Brother Greg Beasley and Father Don Forsythe officiating.Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.Mr. Malone was a retired Master Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a devoted father and grandfather. His greatest satisfaction was in mentoring his grandsons who affectionately called him Papaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady F. and Opaline Malone.Survivors include his wife, Georgia Malone, of Tuscumbia; daughters, Krista Malone Chase and husband, Mark, and Kim Malone Patton, both of Tuscumbia; sisters, Kathy Nelson and husband, Ricky, of Huntsville, and Janet Southern and husband, Larry, of Tuscumbia; and grandsons, Robbie Chase, Garrett Ricks, Cade Ricks, Colton Patton and Dalton Patton.Pallbearers are Bill Sells, Norman Hamm, James Goode, Kent Mann, Mark Chase and Alan West.
