Funeral service for J.C. Brannon Jr., 66, of Decatur will be Friday, November 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dennis Terry and Tandy Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Brannon, who died Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at his residence, was born January 4, 1947, in Colbert County to Junior Coolidge Brannon and Ruby Glover Brannon. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired with 28 years of service from Friskies Pet Care. Mr. Brannon was a member of Family Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandchild, Ragan Latham.
Survivors include his wife, Ussery Daniel Brannon; one daughter, Kim Brannon Latham (Jeremy); special nieces, Nancy King and Kay Donaldson; three brothers, Larry Brannon (Barbara), Steve Brannon (Teresa) and Roger Brannon (Gayla); one granddaughter, Lizzie Latham; two great-nephews, Taylor Martin and Dusty King; one great-niece, Emma Martin; and special sister-in-law and caretaker, Betty Bogie.
Pallbearers will be Larry King, Rob Donaldson, Taylor Martin, Tom Womack, Jarrod Greene and Jason Greene.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
